The integrated services digital
network (ISDN) is actually used by Companies for their business voice
communications. Households to get a second phone line or to access the Internet
are using it also.
ISDN brings much better
performances in terms of quality and rate of transmission that the traditional
switched telephone network. It supports
higher speed data transmission (Fax, file transfer, Internet access). Moreover it brings new telephone services
with enriched functionalities for call management.
